IDS in Cologne 2009: Geistlich makes a grand entrance at Europe's biggest dental fair
With a prominent booth Geistlich Biomaterials took part in the 33rd International Dental Show (IDS) in Cologne from March 24th to 28th. The IDS is the world's leading trade show and sector meeting place for dental practices, dental labs, the specialist dental trade, and the dental industry. More than 100,000 visitors gathered information on new products and innovations from over 1,800 exhibitors representing 57 countries.

Geistlich Biomaterials was equipped with a booth of approximately 200 square metres which gave the visitors the possibility to obtain information about new treatments with Geistlich biomaterials, or to ‘regenerate' in one of the lounges with a freshly prepared Swiss drink. Many visitors used the opportunity to socialise and interact with the Geistlich representatives.

This year's top news were: bone regeneration with autologous stem cells applied on Geistlich Bio-Oss®, new treatment concepts for extraction sockets, and recent research results about wound healing with Geistlich Bio-Gide^®. The visitors were highly interested: The Geistlich team had more than 1,300 counselling interviews within five days.

Geistlich Biomaterials is a Business Unit of Geistlich Pharma AG specialised in regenerative biomaterials for dental surgery. The medium-sized Swiss company with headquarters in Lucerne is part of Geistlich Group, wholly owned by the Geistlich family since 1851.
